Hi guy;

I have a brand new headliner for my 32 Sport Coupe that I plan to install. It has been folded in a box for years.
Questions:
1. How do I get the folds out before installing it?
2. Does anyone have a paper template that I can use or borrow?
3. Does the coachlace trim go all around the bottom edge of the headliner? If so, what happens at the front header?
Thanks, Ray

Install the headliner in the car, stretching as tight as possible , (without tearing it), when you are finished, steam the wrinkles out, if you don't have a steamer, use a spray bottle, sprinkle water on headliner, close up car, let set in hot sun. The headliner will actually shrink, assuming it is cloth. Even some vinyls will shink. The header is cover with a panel covered in same material as headliner., and yes, coachlace hides seam at bottom edge of headliner.

Thank you very much John.

Am I to understand that the coachlace not only goes around the entire headliner bottom on the back and sides, but also ABOVE the front header above the front window? That would be logical so the coachlace is at the same plane ALL around.

I didn't know the headliner material was used on the header too. I've heard complaints as to the panel (mohair) material being too thick for the wiper mount as well as the window crank. Maybe that's why?

Thanks again...Ray
