can anyone tell me if phillips head serews were used around front,rear and side rear window trim?

Yes , they were phillips.Actually the side window screws for the doors are not visable from inside the car...They are on top of the door frame.

Thanks Gene I thought so but this guy at the local car show the other night said they didn't have philips screws in 37 so I figured I would ask thanks for the ansewers.

I found this on the internet:

1936 - Phillips Screw - Manufacturing

In the 1930's the Phillips head screw was developed by Henry F. Phillips. The screw was originally designed for automobile manufacturers, and was first used in the late 1930's Cadillacs. The screw was designed to be driven by an automated screw driver with increasing force until it would cam out. What many people today consider a design flaw was actually a feature. Much less operator fatigue. The best of all worlds!
