I am starting a restoration on a very complete, solid '49 Suburban. The rear floor is covered with a ribbed, rubber material. I know this is correct and I cannot find a replacement mat at any of the usual web based suppliers. The rubber is glued to the floor so removing it without damage is near impossible.
there is a guy who ad's in hemmings and old car weekly. he sells "battleship linoleum" and he had the correct material for our 39 woddie(its decking isn't ribbed like your suburban ) but he might be worth a try. good luck, mike

If I remember right the suburban floor was a lighter brown ribbed (1/2" wide flat top with a very shallow narrow groove) rubber mat material with a black "tar paper" backing. The total thickness was 1/8 inch. I don't think anybody is making it.
