I just purchased a 55 Belair Convertable, could anyone advise me on who supplies the best quality original interiors, tops and carpet? I used Al Knox for other Corvette restorations but they don't offer Belair interiors. I'll need to purchase a red & beige interior and beige top if I can believe my trim tag. Thanks

My Dad just purcahsed a 62 Impala 327 convertable 3 weeks ago out of Indy. Nice car but I wish it was a 409 like yours, but for a 74 year old guy he loves it! Do you have any more info on CARS I tried to find a web site and used search engines but come up empty. Do you know who may carry a 65 Impala oil pan? I'm hold this pan changed in 65 and may help with a clearance problem I have with the drag link. Where in NY are you near? Thanks Terry

Sure, CARS (248) 398-7100 or http://www.CARSINC.com. I also have a 327 250 HP 62 Biscayne I am about half way with now. All the sheetmetal is done, and I finished all of the mechanical work, just have to do the first start-up. I hope to have it ready in the next two years. Later, John

Hi John, Yes, I did hear about some sloppy trans tunnels from ACC - I ran into that with my '76 Dooley. But, they rectified the situation quickly and sent me the correct carpet. I do not know when the merger took place between the two outfits - probably at least 5 years ago. If you order a catalog from both companies - when you get them - don't laugh. They are IDENTICAL. I wonder if the "C" in CARS means Ciadella? LOL Happy New Year my friend!!
