I know the mat I have in the '32 isn't original. What did the original mat look like? What comes the closest to matching the original today? Where can I get it?

The original mat was rubber and it had embossed Chevrolet Bow Ties all over the face of the mat. Check out your Filling Station catalog that ya just got and you will see the correct mats for sale in their catalog. They also have rumble seat mats available as well.
I found the rumble seat floor mat and running board mats but not the front seat floor mat in their catolog on line, I used the term "floor mat; '32" . Do you have the part # or page number for it?
Hard to believe that they are available in rubber and with bowties, got lucky, but the rumble seat mat is pricey ($125.00), hope the other one isn't. Might have to use something close if it is.

Go to the index at the front of their regular catalog. Look up "mats, floor and trunk" under "M". In my new Filling Station catalog (August, 2002) it shows that the floor mats are on page 60. On page 60 the front floor mats are listed on the top left hand corner of the page.......and the rumble seat mat is listed directly under the front floor mat for 1932 on the next line. Price is $119.50 for both the front floor mat and the rumble seat mat. The part number for the Fisher Body front floor mat is M-7. By the way, I have an email in to Steve at the Filling Station to verify if they still carry the front floor mats. I hate their on line catalog.......I can never find anything on there either!

Hey Gator: I found the floor mats on the Filling Station's web site. On the search you have to put in "floormat", not "floor mat" with two words. If you don't spell things like they do, then you won't find it. Here is the item listing on their web site:
CAR ALL 1929-1932 Floormat Frnt Blk no Emblem on Rdst Phaet & P/up M-7R 125.00 Each CAR ALL 1929-1932 Floormat Frnt Rubber Blk "Fisher" Emblem Closed M-7 125.00 Each CAR ALL 1929-1932 Rumble Seat Mat Black - Coupe Only M-10 125.00 Each CAR ALL 1931-1932 Running Board Mat Top Quality Rubber all Pass M-2 105.00 Pair Info
Which one would be original to the '32 cab.? I don't see it listed, unless 'closed' covers cabriolets too. Is the "Fisher" emblem original or do I need bowties.
I'm glad someone else has problems with the on-line catalog. I thought it might be just me.
Why 'coupe only' on the rumble seat?

Your cabriolet is a Fisher Body so it is classified as a "closed" car because it has roll up windows. The floor mat has the Fisher Body logo in the center, and then the entire floor mat has embossed bow ties as mentioned in another posting. The roadster floor mat is different because it has a Chevrolet body, not a Fisher body, so there is no Fisher Body logo on the mat, just the embossed Chevrolet bow ties. The coupe rumble seat mats and the cabriolet rumbe seat mats are different.
