Hey guys.. I and I is out of stock of the small
bumper medallions for the double bar. I needed four and only had two with dented up stainless steel covers. So I took the covers off and straighten them out. Then I had two perfect ones. Now for the other two, I bought stainless steel wire for the mig welder and took some stainless steel scrape, traced the shape of the medallion onto the stainless, cut them out with a hacksaw and welded the three pieces together. After filing grinding and polishing I completed two. This is all done by eye like an artist no machinest. It took me two days to make each one and the first one I had to throw away.
Wouldn't you know the very next swap meet I went to I found two more originals. One I was able to straighten the stainless but the other was too far gone. The picture on the web site will show another of the differences that occur during manufacturing. Two of these are originals. One is from the first two I got and the other is the single one from my second
purchase. The otherone of my home made ones.
Guess which is the homemade?
