My '53 Pick-up has been converted to a "push button" solenoid starter, versus the orignal foot operated plunger. It is all still 6 volt.

I am debating rebuilding the existing starter or getting the correct original type. (If I go back to original, I end up with an extra hole in the dash!) Decisions, decisions...

I'm not sure what I currently have, I assume it is from a passenger car with the push button start.

Can anyone ID it for me? The numbers on the tag are: 1107075 9G18

Many thanks!

My 4/53 parts book says 1107075 is stamped on a plate and is actually for a 49-53 pass car. The actual P/N for this part is 1913369. Hope it helps.

Many thanks, Ron. That is what I suspected, but I wanted to know what I was talking about when I went to the rebuilder.
