Can you guys please help me identify a generator pulley that I have? It has 836611 and GM 12 cast into the side, and it is 3 3/8" at it's largest outside diameter with 1 5/16" at it’s greatest thickness. Thanks.

The 1934 parts book lists it as the standard pulley for 1932-34.There are two other 1934 pulleys shown for special applications. The 1939 book no longer shows that number but does list 837879 for 1934.That number is still shown in the 1953 book and lists the demensions that you have given.

The pulley is listed as p/n 837623 ( 837879 in 1940 parts book) for all 1932 to 1935 generators except EA & ED in the March 1, 1935 parts book and the Dec.1, 1935 parts book.

Thanks guys. I was a little confussed because here http://vccachat.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=38;t=000010 under group number 2.274 it stated 836611 is for 1930-31. The ones on my cars are the repro type. Glade to know that I got the right one. Now, to find one more.

The information listed on that link regarding the 1930-31 generator pulley is incorrect. The correct pulley for 1930-31 is part number 836256, NOT 836611.
