I have a '63 Chevy with a 235 CI 6 cylinder engine that generally runs fine. My problem is that the distributor gear has jumped a couple of times. I am looking for a supplier of oversize distributor drive gears or an alternative solution that doesn't require an engine rebuild. I'm also looking for suppliers for a new distributor.

The 235 engine was last used in 1962.The 1963 engine would be either a 194 in the Chevy II or a 230 in a full size car.There is no such thing as an oversized dist. gear.If the gear on the dist is worn it can be replaced (or the dist)-if the cam gear is worn you will need a new camshaft.
