Bill Masters Backyard Mechanic Registered: 01/17/03 Posts: 251 Loc: Simpsonville, SC	I was using a torque wrench to tighten the crankshaft bearing bolts in stages, and one of the bolts failed when I approached 70 foot-pounds of torque. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to find replacement bolts? I have seen some grade-8s of the same shank size, but the bolt head is smaller than the original bolts. _________________________ Bill Masters

Chev Nut Registered: 01/08/02 Posts: 14900 Loc: West Allis,Wi.	Which bolt-the center or rear - 7/16" 14 2 3/8" or the front 9/16" 12 x2".....The 7/16 bolt is also used as the differential cap bolt on 1929-36.Also probably best to not go much more than 70 on the 7/16" bolts.
