Yes I am trying to get information on relining the brakes on a 29 1 1/2 ton. I was told on the chevy talk forum to come here. These are a special woven material? Can anyone tell me where I can either purchase the material to do them, or where I can send them to have them redone. I did check the forum for the past year before starting this thread, I didn't see any topics on this. This is my fathers truck, and he's soon to be 78. I would like to finish the restoration so that he can enjoy it. But this brake lining is proving to be a major problem. Thank You very much for your help...Eric

Yes, the material used for the brake linings was a woven and brass material. The woven lining material is available by the foot at any large, industrial clutch and brake house. They can also probably reline your brake shoes for you as well. \:D \:D \:D \:D
