Aaron, Welcome aboard! Nice to see another Monte owner around. The VCCA National Meets are worth attending..........not a lot of Montes though. John

Aaron, Welcome to this forum. I have been a member of VCCA for about 5 years and have become moderately active recently. I met John Harvey at a VCCA meet last year & have just joined NMCOA with a little encouragement from John. The VCCA meets are a lot of fun and I have already scheduled them in my 2003 calendar.
PS Misty Turquoise is a great Monte color, beautiful car.

Aaron, I might be mistaken, but I think the picture is one of the "perks" for the Moderators on this forum. I don't think it is an option for other registered members. But, I'm not always right! John

Hello, I am glad to see some drivers of some "Modern Iron" showing up here, It was looking like the only ones interested in the site was us "oldies" from the 20s and 30s. Jump right in and make some noise!

MrMack, Thanks for the welcome. I for one, am never really sure whether the "modern" iron is truely accepted by the membership in clubs that also have the "older" iron. John

Chev Nut, I agree, if it is a then all is good! I never owned the "old" iron..........heck, the oldest family car I can ever remember driving (before I was 16) was my dad's 64 impala. Geez, I wish we had that car now! Anyway, old iron or modern iron, I enjoy them all. John

AAron
I would also like to welcome you. I own a '72 Nova and also a '23 Chevy. I have been participating in the VCCA events since I was 3 years old (I'm now 30). Through the years my family has owned many different years of cars. I own both ends of the spectrum and love both of them. You will find that the majority of the membership know the older cars, but the great thing about this club is diversity. We have Chevys of all years and models. For me this diversity is a great thing!

Hi! I'm new as well. I have an '84 Cavalier Convertible that was my father in law's. He gave it to me when he had to go into assisted living. I'm hoping to be able to bring it to the Flint shindig.
My car has almost 200k on the odometer, but has had the engine rebuilt and a paint job that was done by my FIL. I've replaced the carpeting and seats, and have done some slight modifications to it.

Unfortunately, I decided not to attend. Since I've had to make some modifications to the vehicle, I've been told that I can't be in the Thursday show...That was the main reason I was going to drive up from Detroit...so have fun. I'll find some local car shows that I can attend and be accepted and not be made to feel like my car is a "red headed stepchild".
