I am wondering if installing carb spacers on my 1971 Chevelle will help my air flow and/or mid range power. I have 2 types both 1". One is open and the other one has four holes. Also one is aluminum and one is black plastic.
I bought an open 1" spacer on ebay last winter for $1. I installed it and I noticed a little better performance in the higher RPM ranges, but not much different off the line. This winter I would like to purchase a 4 hole spacer and see what that would do. If I were you I would install the 4-hole, from what I've read they are much better for helping with low end.
