42bill Registered: 09/19/03 Posts: 4748 Loc: Portland, OR	Hey guys, got a question here. I own a 1968 Chev Impala Convertible. Further ID'ed on the front fenders as Impala Custom. Question: what's the difference (s) in my "impala Custom" compared to what you might call "just a REGULAR" Impala??? Any help will be much appreciated. AntiqueMechanic Registered: 12/02/01 Posts: 7721 Loc: Vancouver, WA	A quick run through 75 years of Chevrolet I find no listing for an Impala Custom CONVERTIBLE. The word “Custom” is only associated with the Impala Custom Hardtop which was essentially the Caprice Custom Hardtop in Impala trim. Generally, a vehicle labeled “Custom” was not available with a six-cylinder engine. Therefore, it appears that the label “Custom”, on your convertible has been added later in the life of the car.
