Hi zoolou,
Assuming that the clock did not come with wiring a harness, one should be made that includes an "in line fuse holder" with a 4 amp fuse. This is to be connected to the binding post on the back of the clock and the other end connected to the amp gage. Keep in mind that this connection is "HOT" all the time and with the car unused for long periods the clock can run your battery down eventually. It is a good idea to remove the fuse when the car is in storage.
