I recently bought a 1931 Cabriolet and it has an 8 volt battery. I understand the car originally had a 6 volt. Should I convert back? If I do change, what do I need to change other than the battery? Thanks for your help. Paul Zucker in San Diego.

Hi Paul Z,

It is highly recommended you change back to the original 6-volt system. It probably will not require anything to be changed IF major changes were not made by the previous owner. All the bulbs should still be the 6-8 volt variety and will continue to work fine. When your electrical system is changed back to 6-volt and "fine tuned" you will be a happy camper.
