Steven,
Two VCCA members researched Chevrolet tools many years ago. They published and later updated a booklet showing many of the tools. A listing of the references used was included. I suspect the book redsshed37 is offering is one of those booklets taken apart into individual pages.

If the booklet authors are agreeable, a PDF of this information would be great to have online, along with all the other great technical articles and books.

Thanks, Dean

Would be ideal if there was a member out there who is a printer or has access to the equipment to reprint some of these older tech booklets that members have compiled over the years, like the Tool ID Booklets mentioned or something like Ray Holland's 1980's "The Chevrolet Radio Hour" articles all compiled into a handy booklet.

Some of us youngsters out here (ME) feel like we've missed out on something when you VCCA OGs talk about some of this cool stuff that we've (I've) never seen

I would be more than happy to break open my old piggy bank to contribute toward the cost of paper

Most VCCA advisors will provide copies of documents gratis to other VCCA members. If extensive time or materials are needed the offer of a monetary contribution would be appropriate. Folks that will not contribute by being VCCA members are irritating at best.

Clemon_B: According to your profile you are a VCCA member, therefore, you might want to go to your "Edit Profile" and check the box below the VCCA logo so that the VCCA logo will appear below your user name. That way the members on this site will know that you belong to the VCCA.

The Northern New England Region which technically covers Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont recently elected a new director and he is from and lives in Massachusetts. Most region members are from the southern N.H. area but all are welcome.

redsshed37,
I am sure there are VCCA activities in the Mass area. There are several folks nearby that participate on Chat. Maybe they can help you know what there is to do in NE. Join the VCCA it is the equivalent cost to a good restaurant meal and lasts the entire year. Invite a few members to your place. I am sure it will benefit others as well as you.

As for irritating? I am not referring to a single individual but a group that feel "Why buy the cow with the milk is free?" That is irritating!

Had I thought it would lead to people (Members and non-members alike) being insulted or irritated I would have just as soon kept my mouth shut. Let's all remind ourselves that Christmas just passed and we've survived another year and we have a lot to be thankful for, including the interest and enthusiasm of non-members who would be better served and more likely to join our wonderful organization if we keep the welcome mat out for them.

And thank you for the advice Junkyard Dog, I will immediately be taking care of that so that everyone knows I'm paying my rent here and no free loader (wouldn't want the landlord to evict me, ya know) haha

I didn't read anything in Chippers post that was a slam toward non VCCA members. I am a frequent visitor here and I never pay attention to which chat guys are VCCA members. Everyone is welcome here as a contributor or to just come and learn.

You can visit your local region N. NE Region as a guest to see if you want to join. All regions welcome guests at meetings and tours, if that is your area of interest.

If you decide to join a region, then join VCCA as belonging to VCCA is a requirement before JOINING a region.

Go to the VCCA Home tab above, and click on "Local Clubs" to find contact information for your local region.
