I'm trying to get my '60 Apache 10 4x4 on the road and I'm real close. Among other things, I've replaced every component in the brake system except for the adjuster springs, wich are in good condition. The only wheel that I need to replace the springs on is the front rt. Since it's a 4x4, I can't find replacement springs in any parts store or online. In all cases Ive seen there isn't even a part listing for front springs on a 4x4. Would you know where I could find some replacement springs?(I'm 2 springs away from having this sucker on the road- HELP!)

Try these, all on the www. Chevy Duty, Americian Classic truck parts, Kanter . Also have you tried your Chevrolet dealer's parts manager? Or NAPPA etc.?
have you looked in a parts interchange book? seems that I remember the 4x4s takeing the same stuff as the 51 thru 5? passanger cars, but I could be wrong.

The quest is over, I've found the elusive return springs. I contacted the gracious folks at Hemmings in there search for parts dept. Apparently the front brakes on my truck are Wagner type. The same system was used on Studebaker series E pickups '55-'62, and also on Jeep(yes, Jeep!) J-100-300 series pickups in '63 and '64. The whole assembly was the same, even the wheel cylinders! Looks like I'll have my monster on the road by this weekend!
