I have a 1928 Chev steel Radiator shell and would like to know how to remove the enamel/brass emblem safely. I had heard to heat the back of the button? and it will pop out. Can I damage the emblem by doing this and exactly where do I apply the heat at the outside of the ring or center of the dip?

DO NOT heat the emblem. The disc on the back of the emblem is soldered to the front. Heating will melt the solder. Instead just push on the center of the disc.

You and I are both extremely glad you pushed on the disc and didn't heat it. Can't believe all you hear.
