Would a '56 station wagon rear bumper 'fit' on a '56 two door sedan???

Same contour of the rear end?? Same bumper brackets?? Etc. Etc??

Does anyone have 'experience' with this??

The brackets and ends pieces of the bumper are the same for a wagon or sedan...This indiactes that the center section would fit either model.Just that the wagon had the license tag in the center section and it was designed for that purpose.

The bumper is the same if it is a three piece or a California one piece. However the bumper guards and license lamps are different.

A California one piece would be different for a wagon as the wagon has the indentation for the license plate.

When the rear center section for a station wagon is used on the sedan the rear station wagon guards and license plate lights must also be used.
