I am in bad need of a gravel shield for the right side of a 1941. It must be the black rubber covered model. The car is a coupe.

Charlie have you looked through your vast stock of 1941 parts?

Hi Ray,

Chevs of the 40's sells just the rubber for the gravel shields. $70 a pair. They are designed to glue in place.

Good luck, Mike

I will take an "in hands" look of the glue on rubber. It does not say what they glue to. Would they work on the SS shields that are available, will they fit the original backing plate? Lots of questions and no answers yet.

When I restored my 41 I did not use fenders predrilled for the fender shields so I will be interested to hear what you think of the Chev's of the 40's ones. I have only left shields. One is missing the rubber and the other was from a friend of Gene's that I bought in case I find a right one and want to go back to the original look.

I have learned in the restoration process that compromises are necessary depending on a variety of issues, and each of us needs to pick our battles.

Good luck, Mike

I would think they simply glue directly to the fender but I would check with the supplier to verify.
