On the '57 Chevy there are some sellers that advertize decals as to what Chevy used in some places on the car; I thought these areas had been painted at the factory.

Which way is correct for these:?

---under the head lamps

---back bumper ends at the bottom

---wheel cover indented small areas around the center area.

---the word 'Chevrolet' on the valve covers

Thanks... \:D

They were all painted by the factory.

On mine I used the decals for the rear bumpers (there are three different design rear bumper ends) and the wheel covers.Headlight rims had the original paint. The decals, especially on the wheel covers is the way to go.After almost 20 years they still look great.

I used the stencil for the valve cover scripts.I don't believe there were decals back then.Valve cover scripts still look better than what the factor did.they some times missed the writing with the silver paint.

Thank you very much, Gene.

Not knowing the truth does not stop some sellers from saying things...same old, same old... \:\( \:\( \:\(
