I am rebuilding my 1934 Master engine. The heat riser plate is missing.

Would someone be willing to send me photos of what the plate looks like? I know others have had the same problem but I am unable to locate any pictures sent to them.

Your help is appreciated.

Well, I figured that so many people have helped me with advice and answers from this blog the least I could do would be to take a picture of my heat riser plate for you. Mine is a 33 Master Coupe (I'm wondering if my car came with one when new).

As it turns out my car is missing the heat riser also. I hope someone can send you a picture of it.

Do not use the car without the heat riser plate as you will boil the fuel in the carb every time you stop. If one cant be found at least sandwich a steel plate between the manifolds until you find one.

Jeff, if you could pm me your email address I could send some pictures and dimensions. I am rebuilding mine too and have the heat riser plate out of the manifold.

Mine is actually missing shaft and all. I never thought of boiling the fuel when you stop, but that is a sure bet. Could you send we pictures of the plate also. Do you have a sketch of the shaft. I have every thing else, the weight, rattle spring and temp. spring although I'll have to bend a new tab on it.
Would surely appreciate it.
