Hi there, no records of GM production exist prior to 1947. Apparently there was a fire at Oshawa plant that destroyed everything. Saying that I believe there may be people that have researched engine and serial numbers but I do not know who they are or how to find them. Actually a lot is similar to US production and the differences usually come down to options, trim, upholstery and paint colours/schemes. I know during the late 20 into the 30s GM Canada divisions were using previous year paint schemes then the US production so cars built here had a lesser chance to be sold or compete with US production.
Regards.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

According to my 1929---1940 Chevrolet parts book, truck models for 1934 1 1/2 ton :
PA 1 1/2 ton 131 inch wheelbase, single wheel
PB 1 1/2 ton 131 .............., dual wheel
PC 1 1/2 ton 157 .............., single wheel
PD 1 1/2 ton 157 .............., dual wheel

they cannot tell you what colour you have, nor colour of upholstery, Frank says its brown vinyl.

Engine serial number, chev nut or gene can tell you what the T-4386256 is and where it was cast.

I do not have info on that paint #... 1934 cars started at 1401 and ran through 1412, with a couple added later in the year at 1464 and 1465. Trucks may have been listed in between those numbers, and may not be as well documented if they were special ordered for fleet colours.

If anyone has any other 1934 (or any 1930's) Canadian paint info, could they please contact me.

Those are colours I show for the "100" series. I also have a list of "200" series. Numbers 2401-2407. These colour combinations are in the "Gm Service News Bulletin" used in Canada. They are hard to find...Joe

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

PAINT INFO FOR MIXING COLOURS WAS PUBLISHED IN CHEVROLET SERVICE NEWS FOR CANADA IN THE EITHER 1934 A PARTICULAR MONTHLY COPY OR A 1935 MONTHLY COPY. December I think comes to mind.?????

I know a guy in stoney creek ( garry Greenland ) who has those particular copies of the service news , BUT, those copies are soooooooooo fragile, garry will not open them.
