I just found a pair of '57 Power Pack Heads #3731539 K2656. Any idea what they are worth? Would they be a good match on my '65 327?

Thanks,

Mike,The heads are correct for a 1957 power pac or hi-performance F.I. engine. They were good for a 9.5 compression ratio on the P.P. engine and 10.5 to 1 on the F.I.-due to the domed pistons used on the F.I.They are worth from $200 to $400 a pair .Anyone changing their 57 to a P.P. engine would be looking for them.By 1963 the head was combined with many later heads and was used on all 283s from 57 and up with a 4 bbl. carb. and have a 9.5 C.R.....In 1962 and up it was also used on the 250 H.P. car 327 and they had a 10.5 C.R. due to the increased cylinder volumn. The 300 H.P. 327 used a different head and had larger intake valves. The truck 327 had the small valves and a low 8 to 1 c.r....Trucks often used dished pistons to decrease the C.R. so reg. fuel could be used. Not sure in these engines if heads for trucks were the same as any cars.I mentioned the trucks as I know they are a part of your collection.Trucks also were generally detuned and used a 2 bbl. carb. as they were designed for low end torque.
