I have recently purchased a frame for a 1929 chevrolet, I am trying to find out a little more about it. midway on the left side frame rail their are a series of numbers and letters painted on and they look to be from the factory. I need some help in trying to decipher them. OS-B-3-15-2b-NG I do not know if they are correct the paint is fadded pretty badly, I would apreciate any help. Also I need to find some info on the frame, brakes ect.
Thanks

Could it be AOS (for A.O. Smith, frame manufacturer) followed by the date (3-15-29?)

The A O S is correct for A O Smith. There was a plant here in Milwaukee and produced Chevrolet frames for many years. They have since changed to Tower Automotive and will soon be moving what is left of their factory out of Milwaukee.

Dave,
You are correct. It should be AOS the A is apparently missing. The date of manufacture is 3-15-29. We have never found what the other numbers and letters mean.
