I'm looking for information on the rear springs on the 31-32 chevy's. Most sedans came with 8 leaf rear springs. But when you add an extension trunk you were to put heavier rear springs on the car. Does anyone have any information on what the difference was or the length of each leaf on these heavier springs? I know that they are to have 9 leaves but how? Please help!

I have the same problem on my .32
I took an old springs, cut the eyes of,
and lay this spring between the 7 and 8 leaf.
(right under the eye spring)
This work great fore me.
