You know, Bill Barker told me that the guys in this forum could answer almost anything about my 1931 Chevrolet Sport Coup. I bought it because I offered the guy a crazy price and he said yes! It's in perfect shape and restored properly but I had no intention of owning a classic car. Now that I do, I love it.
Anyway, I asked about the mirrors on this forum and got like 21 responses. Thanks

Funny, you write, "I bought it because I offered the guy a crazy price and he said yes!" That is exactly how I got my '30 Sedan!

And as for knowledge on the list; yes, there is A LOT. In fact, if we don't know the answer, we'll even make something up! :-P

Actually, one of the greatest values I have found here, besides the depth of knowledge, is how inventive these people are in solving NLA stock and related issues. These are creative people! Just a few days ago I posted a note asking how one might repair (not replace) a broken choke cable -- not the inner conductor but the sheath. Someone recommended heat-shrink insulation! I installed two layers of the stuff, shrunk one over the other, and the cable is good as new -- and it is still ORIGINAL, not a replacement and the cable underneath is unmodified. That is important.

So my vote is YES. I agree completely. What a cool bunch of dudes.
