Hi does anyone know where there is a chart showing what light bulb numbers are? Looking for numbers for the dome, dashboard, glove box & parking lights. Also where is a good place to buy them? By the way these are for 48 Fleetline.

The 1948 Chevy light bulb chart is located in the 1929-1948 Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog. Under Group 8.991 Bulbs on page 428. It lists all of the bulb numbers with the corresponding candle power for each bulb used in the 1948 chevies. If you don't have a Master Parts Catalog then send me an SASE and I will photocopy the page.

The best place to look is in the owners manual as bulbs some times vary from year to year and the parts book is some what general.Also bulb numbers will be on metal base of old bulb.Owners manual is available from The Filling Station for only $7.00 - and get a shop manual for only another $20.00 and you will be sa smart as we are.

Tail lights are 1154 and are still on the rack at many parts stores.Same bulb will be used for the parking lights if car has directionals.f no directionals the bulbs will be #63.Most dash bulbs are #55 except high beam indiactor is a #51.

And.........you can purchase most of the bulbs from your local auto parts store or from the Filling Station in Lebanon, Oregon.
