When in second gear and I let off the gas and coast the shift level sometimes fall down into neutral????

Hi chef-chevy,

The first item to check is the adjustment of the vacuum assist unit. If you have the gage it makes it a lot easier, however it is not absolutely necessary. Be sure the main vacuum line is not putting any pressure on the sliding valve.

If this doesn't work the next place to look is the 2nd gear shaft.

I had adjusted the cylinder with the gauge but since have made several adjustments to the rods,I will re-adjust,thanks,chef-
