Its titled "mechanics digest, chevrolet tools, and there uses"

It was published by kent-Moore.

Anyone else heard of, or seen this book???

Hello fleetmas47:
I have a 5" x 7" Kent Moore booklet published in 1944 and it is 122 pages in length with the same title as yours. Kent Moore was an authorized supplier of "official" tools that were used by Chevrolet mechanics at the dealerships. Kent Moore however sold tools for more brands of cars than just Chevrolets. I have a number of the original Kent Moore tools that I have used in the restoration of my 1940 coupe.

You guessed it. We have the same booklet. I have a small group of Kent Moore tools for sale. Email me personally with the year of Chevrolet that you are looking for, and I will check to see what spares or extras that I would have for sale.

Those books are quite common. In the early days they are called "Flat Rate Manuals". In the 30's they were called "Chevrolet Tool Guides" In the 40's they went to "Mechanic's Digest". I have several that go back to 1924. (I also have the one in question which is Copyright 1944).
Just ran across another one "Manual of Special Service Tools for Chevrolet" dtd 1946.

If I had known that growing old would be this much fun---I'd have done it sooner!
