The transmission on my Chev- 3-spd standard looked pretty good except for the front bearing seemed a little loose. I ordered a new one from Cevs of the 40s and installed on shaft. Much better!! While installing pilot bearing rollers back in clutch gear, I found out I was short 1- 13, not 14. How could I find 1 roller. Anybody know a good parts source for used parts? Chevs of the 40s has a small parts kit for the tranny- does this include the roller I need? Also what color should I paint the tranny? Black or the blue-gray? Thanks !!! Chev 40

Thanks for the reply, Chevgene. The car in the "pinstripping wheels " link had what looked like an unpainted trans - they did it right, I guess. I'll wait for your roller source info later. If your son decides to move back to tenn, Your'e always welcome to stop and take a look-see. Appreciate the help !! Chev's of the 40's

Thanks for checking, Chevgene. chevy b!! Good advice about checking my case. I took them all out and Brakekleened them well, but I must have dropped one while removing them. I have vacuumed since and dont think I will ever find it. I did still check my tranny case very well- not there. If you could cal me at 309 963-4400 I'd like to talk to you. Thanks to all Chevy40
