What ever happened to the Bob Wingate '42 Fleetline?

I first saw the car in an Motor Trend article called "Retrospect" around 1979.

It had a centerfold side profile spread and a history on the car.

To me it it the most beautiful Chevy in the world.(And I have seen a lot of them in the past 23 years).

I always wanted a '42-'48 Fleetline but never
had the opportunity to get one.

Although by fate I have aquired '42 Pontiac Streamliner 2dr Fastback.

Restored with many nos GM parts,re-painted in Beverly gray/Lucian gray.

Even though I have this really rare car.
I am still enamored with the '42 Fleetline.
