Are you refering to the 1937 - 40 "Cheetah" engine designed to "Cheata" the english tax on Bore size? .
Chevrolet of England offered two de-bored versions of the 216 so Englanders wouldn't have to pay as much tax. I don't recall the exact cubes. .
Canadian Pontiacs used a storked 224 version of the 216 engne in 37 - 38.
The web site < http://la.znet.com/~c1937/Cast.htm > doesn't mention the "Cheetah" engine.
Good luck, Lou

Hi gregjo1948-

The first Chevrolet six (1929-1932) was 194 cubic inches. Maybe that's the one you are thinking of.

The 1933-34 Standard models used a 181 CI engine. It had a 3 1/2 inch stroke with the normal 3 5/16 inch bore.

The 224 CI Pontiac engine was a 216 with a 1/16 inch bore increase. It also had aluminum pistons and was used in some trucks as well as certain Canadian Pontiac models.
