Looking to hear from anyone who has used the Oakie tube solution to leaking torque tube seals. I would like to know if this process is rather straight forward or not, and if it does indeed stop seal leaks.

Jim, there was a past article in the G&D on the torque tube leak fix. I will see if I can find it and email you a copy. The JunkYardDogJunkYardDog answered this question once before on the old forum he may still have the info avail. I will still try to locate it and send it along to you.

Jim, 29,
The article on '29-33 Torque Tube Seal was in the Sept. '85 G&D written by Larry Jackson with photos by JunkYardDogJunkYardDog. They used a lip seal National # 350909 to replace the original cork seal. It is critical to long service to also make sure the bushing and shaft have the proper fit. Otherwise the shaft wobble will "gobble up" the seal. There is a similar article in the 34-36 Master and 1/2 ton in Feb. 2001. It suggests a metric double lip seal National 26X37X7. ;\) \:D
