Hi all! I'm new to this hobby. My brother just got a 37 4-door in really rough shape and needs leads to small parts. This will NOT be a hot rod, just an updated cruiser. Really need pictures.

By updated cruiser I meant newer suspension and drive train. It is now a bare frame. Thinking Mustang front, small Chevy V-8 and auto, S-10 rear and whatever interior we can make. Thanks for the reply!

For more than you want to know about 37 Chevys, look at web site http://la.znet.com/~c1937/. Unless the interior and drive train are trashed, You might just put a 1954 six in your sedan. My 37s are stock and I drive them any where I want to go. And trailer back what ever I bought. I have a 42 that someone put a V 8 in "Just to get running." It doesn't run. I've driven new Pintos and would not recommend their steering. Good Luck with your project. . . . Lou

tomanded.i put a 1980 pinto front end into my 39 chevy sedan. stock pinto crossmember. works fine for me. use the 74 to 80 pinto bobcat or mustang 2. the early ones are to light. i set back the engine as far as i could. the crank pully is behind the crossmember so it takes the weight off of the front end. there are also kits to do this but it costs more money to do this job.

I have a '37 Chevrolet two-door that I put a '50 Chevy Six in, converted to insert rod bearings, and it runs fine, hours on end at 60-65 interstate speed. The car is a Master Deluxe with knee action front suspension and the ride is quite nice.

Tomanded .did you ever see a 49 to 54 front end under an early chev? They were used in the early 60s as replacement for old chev front axles the complete unit goes in one piece .That is if you can find a good one.

Woody, . The 49 - 54 double A arm fits if you cut a few inches in width from the frame. It's short coming is the bushing in the center swing arm.
