This vender puts out great looking restored heaters. He seems to specialize in them and I have no reason to doubt his research narrative as to what they fit and were made for. The instant heater is a beauty. I'm considering it for the 41 project. If, I were ever to have the car judged (kind of doubtful, but still...) would such a model heater be considered correct. Even without research as to when my 41 was made to make the dates sync. I noted that the knobs would not match the more creamy look of the 41 corn silk. Were the knobs that were on the mid-year 41 a lighter color to match the other knobs, etc? I'd appreciate any comments as to application. You know, sort of like a second opinion. Gene, Ray, JD, Beamer, MrMack, East Ed, West Ed, Chipper, MT, and the usual suspects, what say ye? Thanks, Charlie Disclaimer: I have no affiliation or monetary interest with the vendor. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1941-1942-1946-1...1#ht_500wt_1413

Ray or any body else, got a live (as opposed the pic in the accessory manuel) picture of the best offered genuine 1941 heater? Thanks, Charlie

This heater looks like the top of the line heater in my '42. Mine was done in a hammertone beigh. I bought the paint from Chevys of the '40s when I did mine. I am not aware of this heater being offered in '41. If you're interested, I have mine in pieces and will not be using it. Can make you a good offer on it. Am not sure if the blower motor works, but they are readily available.

My '42 Coupe that had this heater in it, had an outside air duct that ran through the inner wheel housing. Never saw a filter on this duct although it could have had one when new.

I found a heater in a '41 in a salvage yard. It is like the heater on ebay # 150759448951 I restored the heater and used beige hammertone paint from Chevof40's. One of the tan handles was missing . I made a wood handle to match other two. I painted it with the paint that is on the bottom of the '41 dash. It matched. The color of the heater mentioned above is a lot darker than my heater and mine has handles not knobs. I would never question Gene but I think mine is like the original Deluxe heater for 1941. Chevof40's has handles like mine for sale. Mine also has the defroster housing and motor attached to the top left side of the heater. JIM
