I had a machinist make brakets to mount rectangular motorcycle mirrors on my '31 coupe doors' middle hinges. They work well and will not result in any scaring of paint on my doors. We chose motorcycle mirrors because of the long shaft they have. The brackets mount through the holes for the hinge pins. Sid

I used a small "peep mirror" which attaches to the door (no holes drilled, it's a clamp with a set screw). It's been on there for at least 20 years and works fine. Should have cleaned the bug spots off before taking the picture. [img:left] [/img]

If anyone would like to see a '32 coupe with a mirror mounted on the hinge, I'd be glad to email the picture to them - just send me a PM with your email address. I saw the car at an AACA meet in NC. Sid

As I indicated earlier, a machinist made the brackets for my '31 coupe. They attach through the hinge, which is different than the '32 ones that I emailed to some of you. If anyone wants to see the '31 mirrors, send me a PM with your email address. Sid
