I have a complete NOS 4-Speed transmission that I can't quit identify from my parts books. I need your help. hood

The casting numbers I have are the following:

Case: 590474
Cover: 590511
Retainer: 591341

The case seems to be for 31-47. (29-59 parts book) I can't believe that's right.
The cover number I can't find in my books.
The retainer number is puzzling. My books list the following in group 4.317
"39-40 VE, VF, WC, WD, (4-SPD) (Cast 591341)
41-47 UTIL, AN, BN, DS, ES, (4-SPD) (Used on WC /prop. shaft Brake) 591166"
The latter number is the part number.

What in the world is this made for? It was in the wood crate when I got it but over the years the crate is gone. I would appreciate any help you may have in properly IDing this assembly. Gene, Chipper, JD, MrMack, Beamer, ED (west), Ed (east), MT, Ray, anyone? Agrin
