This 1941 Special Deluxe Chevrolet Couple looks {almost} as good today as the day it rolled off the assembly line in Oakland, California in September, 1940.



The car was restored about 10 years ago. The 216 Cu. Inch. engine, and other major mechanical components, were rebuilt by professionals. The body, brakes, wiring and all other areas were restored, rebuilt and repainted.

The interior was completely restored with beautiful new wood grain dash, interior moldings, garnish a complete Hampton Coach upholstery kit and floor mats/carpet. The body was repainted the original color, Admiral Green using the two stage color & clear coat process.

The car is heavily accessorized with deluxe 5-band short-wave radio, Fulton Sun Visor, 100 inch Red Ball Antenna, Deluxe Heater {under front seat}, Dual Front Windshield Defroster, Flying Lady Hood Ornament, Washboards, Window Washer, Back-up light, Trunk Mats, Overflow Tank, WindUp clock, Locking GM Gas Cap, Rear fold down bumper guard, wraparound Bumper Tips, Turn Signals and Cat’s eye Cigarette Lighter, and more. {some items & orig. some are repops}.

The car had a lot of additional detailing and restoration in the past five years including re-chromed bumpers, total restoration of the undercarriage, trunk and Eng. area. The engine, undercarriage, frame and steering, axles, brake drums, rear end and all inner fender wheel wells were detailed and repainted. All new “GM” hoses and had many other parts were also painted or Powder coated.

The car is “98%” stock, except for a Vintage Fenton Split Exhaust Manifold, twin pipes and glass packs that sound very cool.

This car is always a hit at shows, on the street and has won many awards. The car was given 987 points {1,000 max.} by VCCA. {13 points off for Manf, Twin pipes etc}. I have some of the car's history.

The car runs excellent and is enjoyable to drive. This car is a crowd pleaser and brings up pleasant memories for people, which they WILL share with you. The car has been a pleasure and joy to own. Now it's someone else's turn to have some fun.

It has been more than a pleasure to own my car, teh fun and happyness is nothing short of special...and the stories I've heard from "older" folks about a 41's are priceless.

Yip Ken, time to move on.....Unless you want to trade a coupe for an Aero....kidding!!

As far as the Sun Visor, it goes with the car and looks fantastic. As far as being a man of human science, there are always people with varying opinions. And some of these people feel as if others are interested in hearing their opinions. Just the way life is.

Let me take care of some house cleaning. I owe so many VCCA members a special thanks for there help and advice while owning and working on my 41. There’s an unselfish quality about many of the members and I was the benefactor, many times over.
