HI THE CAR WIRING DIAGRAM FOR MY 37 SHOWS A WIRE LEADING FROM THE AMMETER TO THE CIRCUIT BREAKER ON THE GENERATOR. THE GENERATOR AND CIRCUIT BREAKER HAVE APPARENTLY BEEN REPLACED WITH A DIFFERENT GEN AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR. DOES THE WIRE FROM THE AMMETER NOW GO TO THE VOLTAGE REG? THE DIAGRAM ALSO SHOWS A WIRE FROM THE FIELD RESISTANCE TERMINAL ON THE LIGHTING SWITCH TO THE GENERATOR, DOES THIS WIRE NOW ALSO GO TO THE VOLTAGE REG? MY PREDECESSOR ALSO REPLACED THE FUSE ON THE BACK OF THE AMMETER W/ A HUNK OF BOLT, NOT A GOOD IDEA I WOULD THINK. DO YOU KNOW WHAT AMP FUSE I SHOULD USE. GUESS THATS IT FOR NOW!! ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANKS NEW MEMBER RAY

Hey Tony How are things down under? I have a 1969 Chevy C10 pu that I did a custom interior on and replaced all of the metal panels in the cab like gauge cluster, glove box, and door panels with wood panels from a place right next door to you! The wood is Tasmainian Eucaliptus burl. I'm really proud of the interior and the burl wood is the highlite. Thanks for the info Ray

Hi Gene Thanks loads for getting back to me!! The gen is a 2 brush, but can't find any #'s on it. The voltage regulator which is mounted on the engine compartment side panel right across from the gen has no #s on the cover, but it is definitely a regulator. I'm going to eliminate the wire from the field resistance terminal on the lighting switch, and hopefully everything will be fine. Also thanks for the info on the 30a fuse. Thanks again Ray
