blue38 Backyard Mechanic Registered: 12/31/10 Posts: 272 Loc: phoenix......az	Will a power steering set-up from a 6 cylinder 1957 chevy fit my 1954 chevy 210 wagon? Anyone with any help.? 54's did have factory power, mine only has powerassisted brakes. Thanks Bill _________________________ Old cars have always owned me.

Chev Nut Registered: 01/08/02 Posts: 14900 Loc: West Allis,Wi.	The 1953-54 PS was part of the steering box. The 1955-57 PS was a linkage booster type. The front uspension ans steering was also quite different between the two years. _________________________ Chevgene

Chev Nut Registered: 01/08/02 Posts: 14900 Loc: West Allis,Wi.	If you find some ome with a 1953 -1954 PS besure you get all the necessary parts. They include the steering gear and mast jacket, transinssion linkage rods, balancer, idler arm and drag link, pump and mounting bracket, just to name a few. _________________________ Chevgene
