Does anyone need any parts for 29 or 36 engines? I'm going to scrap them soon but if anyone needs anything from them they are free. I have one pretty complete that I think is a 29 and two 36, one is mostly complete and one is bare block with crank and cam. No electrical or fuel parts. Email is erosieraawmtelnt

Is the 29 the complete with head? If so I would like to have it and would pay to have it shipped.

Yes it has a head, I don't know the condition and should confirm the numbers to be sure what it is. I have had a couple of other inquires about it. I better get the casting #s and post them to be sure. When I got it I was told it was a 29 engine and I'm pretty sure it is thst era but I have not confirmed that.

Sorry, I don't have one. I did have a 29 (don't know if they are the same) but some one stole all the oil pans and most of the cylinder heads from my parts engines. mad

A quick check on your head to verify if a '29 is the '29 has the electric sending unit port just below the thermostat housing. The '30 & '31's have a port, 3/4" NPT I believe, on the back of the head on the drivers side(left rear corner of the valve cover) for the temperature bulb to screw into.

OK I'll check that the next time I get to where it is stored. The casting # is 836273 which I believe is a 1930.

Hey Uncle Ed.......This is your twin (separated at birth and secreted away to a place were I was brainwashed into buying a corvair)......I would like to get that extra head you have, mine is about worn out and all the hair is falling out of it.
The brain is about shot and the memory is so bad that I don't even know what I am doing on this web site,,,,What ever this website this ......Thanx ED

Ed1938, Sorry but the head I have is in almost the same condition as yours (except it never was convinced to buy a corvair)! Guess I can't help BUT "two Eds are better than one"!
