Pat S Registered: 01/16/02 Posts: 778 Loc: Kapuskasing, ON	This may sound like a dumb question but I have to ask. I installed a universal sending unit in the tank of my '34 Master. The instructions suggested that to ensure proper operation an additional wire be run from the unit to the body of the car. Why the body? Wouldn't the frame be just as good? _________________________ Best Regards, Pat

Guy Backyard Mechanic Registered: 04/02/02 Posts: 476 Loc: California	If you have a good ground from the sending unit to the tank and then from the tank to the frame thru the straps you wouldn't need an additional ground. I checked mine with an ohm meter, since everything was freshly painted. It was good at the time and I have never had a problem, but I guess an additional ground to the frame wouldn't hurt.
