XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

For Canada the production figures for model 12-71 sedan delivery FISHER job 35-1271
229 were built for domestic production
1 LHD was exported ....no RHD were built

Under code letters .... It also shows CODE "b" = "Millstock purchased in sets body built, painted and trimmed locally, cowl and dash assembly , side quarter, back, roof covers purchased"

this is what it says on my copies of 1934 1935 production at GM oshawa.

This car is U.S. built. The U.S numbers is what I'm looking for this time. Thanks, Joe

I do not think that information is available on USA production. BUT, considering the population of the USA is 10 times that of Canada a safe bet would be to multiply the Canada production x 10 to get a close estimate.

I was just stating the x10 was greater on the 34 master.

I thought I saw somewhere about 6,000 1935 Standards but I can't find where I read that

Thanks, Joe

Found it. It was in the 75 years of Chevrolet. It says 6,192 units built. But, I take that book with a grain of salt also

Standard Catalog of Chevrolet trucks says-
EC sedan delivery 107" wheel base total 538
EA sedan delivery 113" wheel base total 4688
They have a picture of an unrestored 1935 Standard sedan delivery, call it a model EA Then below all of this nonsense They have EC sedan delivery 6192 produced.

As we know an EA is a Master and there was bo Master S.D. in 1935

Talk about a grain of salt

My guess around 6000 would be about correct.

Sounds like the "Standard Catalog of Chevrolet Trucks" should be thrown in the trash can with the rest of their reference books.

I know for sure there was 631 at least, because I have J631 on my list. That's just at Janesville. I collect trim tag data for 1928 thru 1935 sedan deliveries...Joe

ANOTHER thing to consider in any guessing game of how many ESTIMATED did they build.........for 1934 the master DA series outsold the standard series DC roughly 5--1 .

To those that like a math puzzle, lets see what you come up with as a possible production of 1934 master sedan deliverys as a percentage of the whole 34 master production. Which is for USA ??

Excuse me for butting in here and I apologise if it's OTT but does anyone have the GM of Canada production figures for 1934 and 1935 please? I am collecting the data sheets that Vintage Vehicle Services sent to querents years ago before the infamous 'filing cabinet clearout' meant that they lost all the originals. I have spent may years collecting these sheets and there are gaps. I have the '35 TRUCK figures but not '34 and '35 cars, and I have the '36 car figures that show 280 SDs built.

For those interested I have data for 1932 (cars), 1933 (trucks), 1935 (trucks), 1936 (cars) and 1938 (cars). I have the start and end numbers for 1930 and certain other years. I would think Chistmas had come early if anyone could send me the data for the years that I don't have sheets for. My Canadian Chevy and GMC databases have been compiled from many years of study of data books, parts books, and other sources starting in 1915 with 1916 Models but there are still some gaps and 1934 I think it is is singularly lacking in definitive data as regards engine numbers for example.

Thanks....George and I go back nearly 20 years. I wondered if he sent you a letter only or was it a sheet with the complete production data signed by a Mr Calverly? It's those comeplete model data with domestic and export data and engine numbers that I am after. They were routinely Xeroxed and sent out to owners and I am trying to get copies myself. Vintage Vehicle Services don't have that data anymore. It has been suggested that the info was trashed when someone wanted the filing cabinet with the info in it, and so has been lost. I am trying to get the data back from owners who were sent the info in the past before the clear-out.

George Zappora works for Frank Agueci the owner of vintage services. Frank and i have been best friends since 1964. I still own his formerly 1934 chevrolet std 3 window coupe he sold me in 1970. He still wishs he had kept it. LMAO

RE those original Canadian production figures for 1934 master 1934 standards 1935 standards , i have those scanned into my pictures. I got them from Frank as a present. Send me a direct email at mike350 at rogers dot com and i will send you what i have.

Thanks! I can definitively say that the guys at VVS, when I knew them when they were part of GM of Canada, were/are gentlemen and extremely helpful. I praised them once in a letter to the President of GM of Canada and had a nice reply back. I have sent them data in the past that they would not have.

George referring to a fire obviously scotches the rumours. What a calamity. I have also heard of historical automotive company archives being lost as a result of floods.

The fire story has been used for the Australian records as well.

Thanks. The service is a proprietary one and I will be respecting their intellectual rights. As I said, George has been extremely helpful in the past and he has even popped-up on other websites.

I wish them every suiccess in their new venture.
