Getting ready to change the valve cover gaskets on the 66 corvette. Looking for some opinions on the best gaskets to buy ? Cork, Rubber, Rubber cork mixed ? They make so many different kinds now it's confusing. Any thoughts on this will be greatly appreicated.... carbana

I had the best luck with the cork/rubber mixed. The all rubber (neopreen) get as hard as a carp due to heat.

I agree with the cork/rubber gaskets, I have several boxes of ten that were purchased from a Chevrolet Dealer several years ago and have been on the shelf since purchased. You can pull one from the box and it is an exact fit, no shrinkage after all these years.
