Hi there, I have 2 old light buckets that I am refurbishing and would like to find out how the chrome bezel is attached to the bucket so that it does not fall off? The bottom has a small slot but there is nothing on the chrome bezel to slot into it and locate the trim. Also nothing on the top, such as a screw to positively locate and secure the trim to the light bucket? would I have to drill it and make my own screw fastenings? this is a mystery to me.
Peter

Hi there, yes I agree with you there. this is a HOLDEN bodied car and the rear lights look the same as on the American cars. I imagine that almost everything was imported in a crate and assembled at the Holden body works. All I need to know is how the bezel is attached to the light bucket? Peter

hi there, thanks chevnut for the info. I must be blind not to see the 2 holes in the glass... now all is clear to me, and I will not worry about the small slot in the bottom of the bucket.
It will let out any moisture that gets in at excess speeds of over 80 kph.
I will make a silicone seal with silicone so the glass wont fall out when I take the chrome trim off.
cheers Peter
