Hi Guys,
Wondering if any Chev guys down under have any 28 wooden wheel fellows (2 5/8" wide). I need 3 for a spare set of wheels I am building, but happy just to get one or more. Can either buy out right or swap other parts.
Regards
Ray

Hi Bobc4,
I am just up the road at The Basin, 5 minutes away. Dont have any 27 Wheels.
I do have a pair of 26 / 27 rear brake drums that have been reconditioned. In very good condition. 2" deep. not deep enough for my 28.
Is there anything else you need?
Cheers
Ray

G'day Ray Do you want back or front as they are different. I have a nice pair of front ones. Chris

Chris,
Something I never knew.
I thought the fellows were universal. What is the diffeence front and back?
I have one hanging up. How do I tell if front or back?
I am looking to build up a spare set of wheels. I have a very good set of new 28 spokes, but who ever made them put them into earlier hubs and fellows.
Cheers
Ray

Ray, I thought the same. I built a set of 28 wheels recently. I know that two felloes were rears, and thought the other two were fronts - they were all identical, so maybe not? I am also interested to know the difference and the reason for it. Looking at the wheels, I can't see why there should be any difference, or why the four identical (back?) felloes would not be satisfactory though, other than being non-original. I'll be very unhappy if I have to rebuild two of them before they even go on the car! Frank.

Hi Frank,
I will be very interested to find out the difference as will you. Fingers crossed on your wheels.
Cheers

Sorry for all the confusion I've caused, must have had a senior moment. I left out a few words. All steel fellows are the same for 1928, 27 are narrower and 26 narrow again. What I should have said was 28 front wheels are different from back wheels. The difference is in the spokes and the hubs. Hope this clears it all up. Chris
