I am glad I happened upon this forum and in advance, would appreciate your tolerance of a "newbie".

I have located a very nice 1963 impala ss equipped with 409 2 x 4 barrel carb in truly excellent, effectively in show condition. I am an amateur at these matters and would respectfully request referrals to persons who have expertise with evaluation of and pricing of 1962-1965 impalas. I would be willing to compensate one or two respected individuals for their time over the phone, payment via check. I have completely inspected and driven this vehicle (spent over 4 hours) but hemmingways and oldcars suggest my price offer would be far too low relative to what the owner has "listed" the vehicle at, hence my request for expertise, either via this forum or via private e-mail. I am located in TX and the vehicle is nearby.

John, North Texas does cover a lot of ground. I would think that you have come to the right place for some knowledgable Vintage Chevrolet owners.
