Thanks. I'll give Ficken a shot at it. It's good to have some testimonials as to quality and integrity.

I've thrown this Question out before about the hook-up of the vacuum lines to the 2 stage pump but no one has ever responded...I've purchased a dual-stage pump but don't know a thing about running lines from it . I don't even know if Chevrolet car and trucks came with these pumps from the factory , let alone even seeing one in a vehicle working . I do have a Trico instruction/schematic sheet on the wiper in my file , maybe I'll start there...see if they show anything about lines from the pump...

Actually the combined fuel/vacuum pump is very simple.

The fuel side is straight forward. The inlet goes to the fuel tank and the outlet goes to the carburetor.

The manifold vacuum is connected to the inlet on the vacuum pump and the outlet is connected to the vacuum wiper connection.

So you will have three lines from the combination pump up to the top of the engine.

When the manifold vacuum is depleted due to a heavy engine load the vacuum booster pump picks up the slack and provides vacuum to the wiper.

Thanks Ray...As a few of you may know , I'm in to "correctness" as far as my "47 is concerned..so I'm still wondering about the actual lines ( vacuum ) from the pump . I would imagine they are steel lines ? at least for a distance of ? and they probably wrap around back of the motor ? 'till at some point go to rubber , then through the firewall ? Were 2 stage pumps available from the factory ? That's a lot to ask in one post...but eventually I'd like this part of the restoration an example of something carefully researched and painstakingly reproduced as it was originally...Thanks , Kevin
